They want to enrapture our manners

The  nationalistic councilors of the town council of Vigo search for replacing the name of the festivities of Christ and leaving out of the festivities signal the procession celebration.

The citizens who are committed with the traditions of the city  of Vigo have found the controversy that the summer festivities, which have always been denominated as the Festivities of Christ could lose this name.  Moreover, they have intended to leave out the celebration of the mystic procession from the festivity schedule.

The procession of Christ is not only a procession but a social referring of the city and a symbol of the Viguean culture. We cannot speak of Vigo without speaking of Christ and its procession for the Christ and the city has always been joined and there is no belief which would terminate with a tradition so ingrained in the city.

For this, all Vigueans who are committed with the manners of the city and would like to state their support for the Procession of Christ continue being included in the festivities schedule and continue naming Festivities of Christ.
